The process of getting hitched

If you think getting married just entails showing up on the day of the wedding... you are WRONG. Not only is planning the actual wedding hectic, but on top of that there are a million other things to do. You have to join bank accounts, get your credit cards changed into joint names or your new name, change your driver's license, get a new social security card, and change your name on so many records that it is almost endless. Before the wedding you also have to get a marriage license, which is simple but still another little thing to do before the big day. Dylan and I went down to the City Hall office on December 30, 2008 to get our marriage license. It's actually quite simple. You go in, meet with one of the lazy lazy workers, show proof of ID, and pay $25 to get a little certificate that says you can get married. That is all. We took this picture outside to remember the day we got permission from the law to make it official.
